So still, still bill...
"One of the things I always tell my kids is that it's OK to head out for wonderful, but on your way to wonderful, you're gonna have to pass through all right. When you get to all right, take a good look around and get used to it,because that may be as far as you're gonna go."

some people are just a four letter word lodged in your throat.
either swallow it and let it cause you more pain,
or choose to spit it out and learn to forgive.
love that ain't so
I love him
she'd say
though everyone told her he was no good.
he made her fall,
some time ago
and even though she didn't like the view from down there
she kept wishing
he'd help her up.

he made her fall,

and even though she didn't like the view from down there
she kept wishing
he'd help her up.

unsee
it's when the dreams once dreamt
crumple into pieces
and the dust falls.
when what once was
falls into ruin
that eyes see
before slowly closing
and sleep comes.

to talk
Call me
they told her-
if you ever need to talk.
she nodded,
her throat catching
thank you,
I appreciate it.
they walked off
and the sun molded itself
onto the contours of their backs
leaving what little light was left
retreating into the distance.

a.foreign.seed.
the tree has been growing,
nonstop for years now.
it started as a seed
that fell from the sky;
picked up by the wind
and carried somewhere
far away.
it was probably scared
at one point.
different leaves, strange roots
nosy birds, squiggly worms,
and even the sun shone differently.
but the sky remained the same
and the rain fell the same way,
the earth stayed firm
and the wind reminded it of home.
but it was a foriegner
in a strange land,
forced to make do
and so it grew.
